My name is Richard Olds and when I left Corporate America six years ago, I wanted to create a business that would enable me to use my sales and marketing skills to help local businesses become more successful than ever before by taking advantage of the emerging internet. At the same time, I wanted to be able to make a handsome living and create an annuity revenue stream for me and my family while working from home.
Six years ago I began building what has become one of the most successful internet advertising businesses in the South East. I started this business in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA and have expanded it to eight web sites serving merchants throughout the Atlanta area. My first site was www.northfultonshops.com followed by www.cobbshops.com, www.gwinnettshops.com and www.perimetershops.com. I then combined all the restaurants form each site and created a web site called www.atlantarestaurantcoupons.com.
That is how our websites got started - offering small businesses a low cost alternative for local internet presence and page 1 search rankings.
Last year I joined forces with Alan Soskel who has an extensive background in advertising, website maintenance and Internet marketing. Together we started LocalSalesValues.com in preparation to introduce our concept and business to other parts of Georgia, and then nationwide.
Our formula is remarkably simple. What we have done is create a means for local neighborhood small businesses to advertise at an affordable price as well as gain a huge Internet presence at the same time. With a proven methodology and a considerable client base, the time has come to expand our geographic reach and offer this concept to other individuals in other cities.
That is where YOU fit in, if you like! Start your own LocalSalesValues.com website in your County or City and join our family of websites!!! A sales background is very important, together with a good work ethic, but very little computer experience is needed. And, you can look forward to a near six-figure income in 3 to 4 years. This is not a franchise – you would be purchasing exclusive rights to sell in and own a territory. This means you can grow your territory and sell it if you desire.
At LocalSalesValues.com, we have all the necessary resources and expertise to help you create the same type of advertisements for your clients in your area. We will make the advertisements for you and publish them on the site. It’s that simple!
Each Dealer sets their own pricing.. It’s up to you and your sales ability. You will be building a business that will become very valuable for merchants who will renew the next year. You will be building a base of customers that will renew next year, creating an annuity!
This business can continue to grow each year. If you were to open an entire city you could make a decision to hire sales people to work certain areas (usually commission only) growing your business even faster.

These are more than just websites - you offer an integrated package of Internet Marketing, Local Search, Customer Loyalty programs and Optimization services. Use our resources, or develop your own, to offer Website Design and other services for a commission on every sale.
You sell ads for one yearly rate. Bundle in these other services for even more revenue. It’s up to you and your sales ability. You will be building a base of customers that will renew each year, creating an annuity! Your clients will think of you first when they need other internet or website services. You will be building a solid, local internet marketing business.
There are other ways to increase your revenue. Most importantly, is the ability to up-sell clients in your territory to advertise on other LocalSalesValues.com websites. You keep a portion of revenue from sales into other areas. Other revenue generators include:
- selling the premium space on the Dealer Billboard
- selling the Platinum and Featured Logos on your Directory, the Master Directory, and Directories of other Local Directories
- selling logos and coupons on our Email Newsletters.
- participating in other programs that LSV introduces on a city-wide basis.
If you sign up 120 customers (that's less than 3 per week) at a sale price of $400
(however, each dealer sets their own rates) the first year your ad sales revenue will be around $40,000. If you sell another 120 ads in year 2 you will make $40,000 plus $25,000 in renewals from the previous year for ad sales revenue of $65,000 in year 2! Year 3 should result in ad sales revenue of about $84,000. See Sales Revenue Projections later in this presentation.
NOTE: However, you will also have additional revenue each year from: cross-sales into other websites; Customer Loyalty Email program sales; Billboard and Platinum Logo sales; and Logos and Coupons sold on our Email Newsletters.
After several years of working hard and servicing your clients well, you'll be earning near six figures. This is a great home business!! The numbers quoted above are based on selling 2-3 ads per week and a renewal rate of 70%.

It's estimated that over 300 Billion coupons a year are issued in the United States alone
The first comment we would like to make in discussing coupons is a perception that “only poor people use coupons”. In her book The Greatest Secrets of Coupon Mom, Stephanie Nelson says:
“This perception of coupon users couldn't be farther from the truth. In fact, there are more coupon users in higher income brackets than lower income brackets. Over 80 percent of shoppers with household incomes of $50,000 to $75,000 a year report using coupons to grocery shop. Industry statistics also found that 74 percent of households earning more than $75,000 a year use grocery coupons. The lowest level of coupon use (70 percent) is in the $25,000-to-$50,000 annual income bracket”.
There is currently a significant move from paper to digital coupons - Over 90% of coupons used today are offline coupons, newspaper coupons and those mailed directly to you. However, with growing online commerce, more and more people are using online coupons. The online coupon industry grew by over 500% last year. Online coupons are becoming safer to use and more retailers are providing print-at-home coupons or coupon codes for shopping online. However, whenever there is economic hardship, coupons usage increases. This time is no different; coupon usage is already up by 14% this year.
There are many in the industry that feel that with more and more people using coupons during this economic downturn it will create a behavioral change in the consumer that could have lasting effects. Once the consumer realizes the real benefits to using coupons they will continue this buying pattern in more prosperous times. This is an opportunity for the merchant to bring in more customers.
Obviously the largest area in coupon distribution is for groceries. However, this general increase in the use of coupons has an overlay effect on local businesses such as restaurants, cleaners, spas, etc. The use of coupons is becoming so pervasive during this economic downturn that the search for coupons reaches all areas of business.
One of the problems coupon users have expressed is that it is difficult to find coupons at the point in time that you need them. Making them easy to find on the internet and then easy to print has been one of our key goals at LocalSalesValues.com. We have been in the Marketing and Coupon business in the Metro Atlanta area for over 6 years and truly believe that there is a huge opportunity in this marketplace today.
